SkateCrème is a wax for skateboarders. But it’s not just another skate wax—it’s a game-changer for skateboarders. Having been on a skateboard for 18 years, I know the importance of smooth curbs for optimal grinds. Skateboarding isn’t just a sport; it’s a form of self-expression, creativity, and art. So Raik and I came up with the idea of making our skate wax by ourselves.
Using Rhino3D and Grasshopper, I delved into the world of parametric design, creating a unique ripple surface for SkateCrème’s rim. The design process was as much about precision as it was about aesthetics. Blender came into play for an animated showcase, a fun task undertaken for RenderWeekly on Instagram.
But SkateCrème goes beyond the digital realm. I rolled up my sleeves, building molds and casting the wax myself. No shortcuts, just hands-on dedication. We concocted a special blend of waxes, carefully curated for the ultimate skating experience.
